GoCapo is a Chrome extension designed to help guitar players easily transpose chords on any webpage according to their capo position and get optional AI-based chord insights.

Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data we (the developers of GoCapo) collect, how we use it, and how your information is protected.

🔒 1. Data Collection

GoCapo does not collect, store, or share any personally identifiable information (PII).

The extension runs locally in your browser and processes webpage content only for the purpose of identifying and transposing chords.

We do not track:

• Browsing history
• User activity
• Personal data or login information

🤖 2. Use of AI Services

When you enable the “AI Assist” feature, GoCapo may send the selected lyrics or chord data (only that specific snippet) to OpenAI’s API to generate chord suggestions or explanations.

• This data is not stored by GoCapo.
• Processing is handled securely via OpenAI’s servers, under their Privacy Policy.
• No text, audio, or browsing metadata is logged or shared by GoCapo itself.
